View of the Alps from the Dent d'Oche

Dent d'Oche

When looking from CERN (or Versoix), the Dent d'Oche is an unmistakably highest (2222 m) and most attractive spike which is rising to the sky on the other side of the Lake Geneva, it is also the place where sun appears to rise during the summer months (sunrise really makes the the peak to look like a bloody claw – dent). It was therefore an imperative to go there and check it out. Looking from the peak, the lake side to the North is by far not as attractive as the Alps to the South, so I only took a half circle panorama. Itineraires des Randonnées Pédestres en Haute-Savoie page describes nicely how to get there (in French). You can also view the photo album from the hike.

Use the buttons under the picture to scroll it nicely and smoothly.
