On Sunday, the 26th of July 2009 at around 16:15, after almost 11 hours of hiking and climbing, I laid my foot on the top of the highest mountain of civilized Europe. It was a very beautiful day, full of sunshine, with extremely good visibility. I have to thank my boss, Luc, for picking such a good date, since one could not possibly ask for a better weather. It was, however, still freezing cold and rather windy, as it can easily be 4 807 meters above sea level. Therefore, I took pictures for the panorama in a hurry and without preparations (indeed, my camera actually froze shortly afterwards.) It is not the best panorama I have ever made, but the view is priceless.
