Panorama of the Mont Blanc massive from the Aiguille du Midi

Aiguille du Midi

Aiguille du Midi offers a wonderful chance of excursion to the land of snow and ice. In about 15 minutes, if you do not have to queue, you can find yourself enjoying the stunning view from the rocky spike 3 842 meters above the sea level. This panorama presents the view of the Mont Blanc massive from the topmost platform. Mont Blanc (4808 m) is the rightmost peak, then followed to the left by Mont Maudit (4469) and Mont Blanc do Tacul (4248 m), which is the rocky snow covered peak closest to the observer. The image was taken in late may 2009.
